While I
didn’t pack my cowgirl boots, I did pack a pair of black and gold
flamingos! A few of the Yinzer Supper
Club ladies and I flew down to the great city of Austin, Texas to visit Boo for
a few days in late April. Mel, Koko and
myself had an amazing time in my second hometown exploring, eating, drinking,
drinking some more and oh laughing till our bellies hurt.
We checked
out wineries, ate at Salt Lick BBQ, enjoyed the Georgetown Poppy Festival,
went to Deep Eddy’s Distillery (OMG YES), explored and educated ourselves at The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum on UT’s campus and at the
Texas State History Museum!
We did so much and I am so happy some of my
favorite Pittsburgh girls now have a spot in their heart for my second favorite
city!
