Still being the best Aunt I can be

Being that it has been a few months since I last really wrote...I guess I need to do a little update on the two little loves of my life.  Will, my freckle faced hazeled eye nephew, turned 7 in May and Lucy, my brown haired lass with a sweet smile will be in 10 at the end of August.

Swoosh..and there goes time.

Both kids have been making the most of the end of spring and the start of summer.   Will is a talented artist and he attended his first art camp at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.  Where his self portrait will be displayed at their end of the summer art showcase.  Lucy attended a Pittsburgh CLO summer camp where she was a cast member of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.

Both kids loved their camps...loved them so much that they both will be attending an art camp again in a few weeks.

Being that I am not a parent, I often wonder how parents decide what they should encourage their kids to pursue.  With Will...he just has a gift.  Give the kid some art supplies and can create.  Lucy...I think what her talent is the passion to try things.  She wants to give it all a shot.

As one of my roles as Amazing Aunt Pam, I do my very best to encourage their interests.  Want to learn more about space...let's go to the Science Center?  Want to see how paper is made...let's find a paper factory?  Which is why...I drag them to National Parks, Museums, New Cities, etc, etc.   I might not have it all figured out on how I will make it happen or pay for it but I do my best.

These two make my heart happy and add a few extra laugh and stress lines to my face.
