Dang April...look at you flying by.
First you bring us sunshine and warm temperatures.
The tulips and daffodils start blooming.
Then you bring us snow and rain.
The tulips and daffodils get pissed.
Now you are sunny and oh so nice.
Please stay that way.
Pam101 has had a very busy but lovely April.
Some of the ladies and I went to our first Pittsburgh Pirate game of the season. Nothing says baseball like hot dogs and 32 degrees. It was freezing! Didn't make it past the 6th inning.
And one of the "hot spots" in Pittsburgh is Tako. I mean for reals the place is always booked and I have been there twice now and it's totally worth the 3-4 week wait time. So flipping good.
Pam101 highly recommends the Korean tacos and cucumber margarita.
Some work travel took me to Sacramento and there I was able to meet up with my good DC friend, Tommy and enjoy the amazing weather and check out a Warhol exhibit at the Crocker Art Museum. Don't worry...I was there for work and I did have a great work meeting. Then I hoped on an Amtrak train to head to San Francisco to see some more DC friends who recently had a beautiful baby boy. It was a dreary day in San Fran so we all pilled in the Subaru and headed to Santa Cruz for the day. We had amazing breakfast at Alice's Restaurant surrounded by Redwoods and then spent a lovely afternoon strolling around the charming Santa Cruz. A little drive on the Pacific Coast Highway and a quick roadside photo op was had!
And in addition to Jackie and Evan welcoming baby Griffin in December, they also have the amazing Mabel, who just happens to be my new BFF and a Golden Retriever. Mabel loved me and apparently is still waiting on me to come back to her house.
I am truly lucky to have a great job (doing something I love) that allows me to travel to a state that
1. Is a place I love and 2. Happens to have some of pretty awesome friends residing there.
A great few days where had in Sunny California.
Like I said...it has been a great April!
Stay Tuned!
