Mom, the kids and I headed to Mountain Lake Campground in Summersville, WV.
We all had a fun time but as I told Mom I was having a hard time pinpointing where exactly my touch of "bleghness" was coming from.
I did some thinking and I think I may have nailed it down to two things.
1. Roxie needs some refurbishing. She is starting to show her age and I just wish I could find a man/woman/family that wanted to take on the project of renovating a Vintage Shasta Camper. She needs body work, painted, I wish the fridge worked, I wish I could fix up the warped wood on the inside. I mean don't get me wrong. For being over 40 she is in great shape...but the more time I spend with her I just know she needs a little TLC. Maybe I'll find a place and drive her there at the end of the summer season and leave her in some capable hands for a face lift?
2. The folks that were at the campground...were a bit...overly red-necky. Don't get me wrong. I like a little country but when I can't understand what a person says because their twangy accent is so incredibly hard to understand (not that cute southern twang- i mean like hillbilly in a mountain can't understand) I just sorta wanted to go home. Feel a tad judgy saying that but...
Roxie's next adventure is in July. Until then she sits at my parents basking in the sun...
