Well after almost 23 hours of travel time we made it to the West Des Moines KOA!
Hallelujah! Praise Buddha!
We got Roxie unhooked, set up camp... Hit the pool, bought 1 can of miller lite, started a campfire, toasted some hot dogs, hit the showers and then finally laid down.
Oh and then a combination of reading The Jungle Book and big brother making me laugh on-top of being sleep deprived meant Pam101 was laughing so hard she was crying real tears.
Everyone got tucked in and drifted off.
BOOM! CRACK! HAIL! Is it a twister?! Nope, just a major storm blowing through. Big Brother and I (in a sleep haze) make sure Roxie wouldn't blow away. We shut up some windows, tied the door shut and hoped the roof doesn't rip off.
Lucy didn't wake up.
The roof stayed still.
What a fun adventure!
We are now on our way to the Iowa State Fair!
