camping = nicest people

I have noticed that when you go camping you tend to meet the nicest people.  In Iowa our camping neighbors let Lucy hang out with them, play with their grandkids and even crash their cook-out.  Well, on Saturday night, Spice and I headed to the ladies restroom to freshen up and when we came back our neighbors told us, "The wind had your door banging around, so I made a little bolt to keep in closed."  He knew we weren't there, so he found a little stick and created a little bolt.  In fact that is what the Koala bear is holding onto in the photo above.  Camping people = kind people.

Jan and Arnold had spent the last six months traveling all around the United States.  These two crazy awesome kids were visiting the good ol USA all the way from the land down under, Australia.   We talked about their adventure, what they loved the most, etc.  And what stuck with me was their kindness.  Just genuine people.  They told me that they only hope that when I visit Australia that I find all of their people as kind as Americans have been to them.

Well done America.

Safe travels Jan and Arnold.

See you in Australia.
