Almost a year ago to the day...I lost my job from the Federal Government.
You can read my thoughts HERE.
A year ago I was living in Washington DC. Working a good job, living in an amazing condo...in one of the best cities in the United States.
And then poof. My world changed.
With change...it is always hard. You don't want to believe that what is happening is probably for the best. I mean, what good can come of not having a job? What good can come of having to leave the city and house you love? Leaving your friends?
Seriously, what?
It's been a fast year. A whole year has zipped by.
I have traveled the USA, gone to Nepal, started a new job, bought a house, celebrated every milestone of Lucy and Will's life, been there for friends, went to Paris, and then some.
What a year it's been.
Tonight as I had dinner with my BFF and her husband I was a tad reflective. Maybe it was the two bottles of wine but I couldn't help but be thankful that I lost my job a year ago.
Because of that heartache a year ago...I am the happiest and most fulfilled I have ever been.
And that is something worth celebrating.
I seriously can't believe everything that you've done in just one year!!! Seriously, you've traveled more in 365 days than some people do in a lifetime, and then landed two other huge accomplishments to boot -- new house, new job. Get it girl!
