NPR-Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife Tipper have announced they are separating after 40 years of marriage. The news came as a surprise. But divorce after decades of marriage is common, and is likely to become more so as people live longer and healthier lives.
I really enjoyed listening to this story on NPR this AM. It really made me think I need to get serious about finding a husband...or at least someone to grow old with. Who will take care of me when I am in my 70's? I hope I can move in with Big Brother. Wonder if Lucy will let me live with her? Getting old sucks.
