Because I (we) am (are) Irish

Aunt Pam101 may or may not have purchased this adorable shirt for Lucy and Will.
Hint- It doesn't say Mom or Dad's Lucky Charm.
Hint 2- It might say Aunt Pam on it.

PM Edition of the Hotness

Proof that Tom Hanks is the most amazing man on the planet! He is by far one of the best PM Hotnesses we have ever had!

Serioulsy?! How can you not love this couple?!

A couple I absolutely adore!
You all know I adore McHottie. ADORE! She by far was the best thing that came out of my previous job. She is smart, funny, outgoing, drinks 6lb milkshakes (almost) and is an all around awesome person. McHottie did something I have always wanted to do. She and Mr.McHottie took a cross country road trip! These two crazy kids hit the open road after their college graduation and for three weeks had an amazing adventure. I love it! I love them! I want to bottle up their youthful happiness and sell it all across the world! After you watch their will too! They are fantastic people! And I wish you could all know them!

Pam101's feedback on road trip music video:
1. Holy SHIT do they look young (well they are young)
2. Bon Jovi is timeless! 40 second mark is priceless!
3. Opening 15 seconds I think Mr.McHottie sorta looks like the uni-bomber. It is the facial hair and glasses.
4. Mr.McHottie is so not the uni-bomber when he is shirtless around the 2:00 minute mark. Money Shot!
5.  Around minute mark 1:34 I bet McHottie was writing in her journal, "dear journal...I hope to meet Pam101 someday"
6. Sonic is amazing!
7. I am glad to see they both wear their seat-belts.
8. Every shot of them hiking I can't help but think about 127 Hours!
9. From shot 3:34 to the end...Adore! Adore! ADORE!
10. I love that they took the trip of their young lives and turned into something that inspires me and hopefully you!

Pam101 Update: Cams is tied with McHottie on the best thing about my previous job :) Oh, shit...and Jackie! And Ariel! And Anne! xoxoxo!!

Auto-Tune + Oscars = Awesomeness

"he's to sexy for a shirttttt"

Big Ben's Save the Date

Thanks, TMZ.

Egh..Bring back Neil Patrick Harris or maybe JT!

I was bored with Anne and James last night. I just didn't love it. Fell flat. Anne got on my nerves. James wasn't funny enough. Maybe if Neil Patrick Harris isn't available next year Justin Timberlake or Oprah will host?!

I know...age is just a number...

So, here is the thing. I know it isn't a big deal. But is anyone else sorta creeped out by this couple? I mean I know Celebrityville is a giant bubble of make-believe and they all live in a magical world of hair, make-up and famousness.  But in the real world would an almost 20 year old date an almost 17 year old and not be arrested?

Like father like son...

Wow! Colin has never looked more like his Dad...Tom Hanks!

This is what it is like when Pam101 goes outside...everyday!

Hilary VF post Oscar Party

Bacon-and-Egg Soup

Thanks, Food Network Magazine

* 1/2 pound slab or thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
* 4 slices rustic Italian bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
* 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
* Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
* 2 cloves garlic, smashed
* 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
* 1 1/4 cups grated parmesan cheese, plus 1 small piece rind
* 4 tablespoons torn fresh parsley
* 4 large eggs

Preheat the oven to 375. Cook the bacon in a medium pot over medium heat until crisp, about 7 minutes. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate with a slotted spoon, then discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings from the pot. While the bacon cooks, toss the bread cubes with the olive oil on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Bake until golden and crisp, about 8 minutes.

Add the garlic to the bacon drippings and cook until slightly golden, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the broth, 1 1/2 cups water, the parmesan rind and 2 tablespoons parsley; season with salt and pepper. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook 10 minutes.

Adjust the heat so the broth is barely boiling. One at a time, crack each egg into a small bowl and gently slip into the broth. Poach until just set, about 2 minutes. Transfer the eggs with a slotted spoon to individual soup bowls. Stir 1 cup parmesan and the remaining 2 tablespoons parsley into the broth and season with salt and pepper. Ladle the broth into the bowls and top with the croutons, bacon and the remaining 1/4 cup parmesan.

Maybe Pam101 has been wrong these past few months?!

Um...I guess the love of my life, JT, is still with Jessica Biel. I hate her shoes!!!

You've Got A Friend In Me

I adore this song.

AM Edition of the Hotness

I picked today's AM Hotness for a few reasons, none of which have anything to do with Taylor Swift.
1. I love black and white photography.
2. I wish I had an invite to every Vanity Fair party.
3. This is one photo I think totally picks up on the glamour of Oscar night and the parities that follow.

Now...that is some serious dust!

I kid you not Pam101 fans...that is dust! Well, tile dust from the bathroom work. I spent over three hours cleaning my room today and I had to take a photo of my dresser when I took the lace runner off of it. That is a serious amount of dust/tile dust.
Don't is super clean now!

Tub is done! Well sorta

PRAISE JESUS MY SHOWER IS SORTA FIXED! I say sorta because as you can see I need to refinish the tub again. The paint peeled because of the chronic leak. But being that the leak is fixed and I have all knew pipes I think we can refinish the tub again! Also...notice how the tile color doesn't match up. It'll'll do!

$8.00 in tolls, a 15 year old aspiring chef and a bottle of wine

For Christmas this year Big Brother and my Sister-in-Law got me a cooking class for two at the Glenfiddich Farm Cooking School Farm Cooking School. I asked Mr.Wonderful if he wanted to come with me and he said yes! We left DC yesterday at 4:00pm and headed into a world far far away...Virginia.

See, Pam101 never goes to VA. There is no reason why, I just never do. We were driving and driving and I finally said, "are you sure you know where we are going?", he did. After paying almost $10.00 in tolls we finally turned onto a country road. It felt like home. We drove down the long driveway and arrived at the large farm/country home. After posing in the great outdoors we headed inside (because we were freezing) and introduced ourselves to Olwen, the lady who runs the class. We were the first ones there or as Olwen said, "you are 30 minutes early". Whoops.

The night was a lot of fun. Mr.Wonderful and I talked up a storm, people thought we met through some form of on-line dating (we didn't and we aren't dating), the food was yummy and it was a great change from my usual Friday night!

I made Mr.Wonderful stop so I could take a photo of the sign. He goes, are those marijuana leaves? Um...I guess they are! We wondered if we were going to make some pot brownies. We didn't.

Senior Photo of Pam101
In addition to taking a cooking class...they also sell pottery. We said if we had a house we would have bought a little bird house. But being that we don't have a yard or a tree we passed.

The inside of the house was so nice! Mr.Wonderful is opening up the wine we brought.
We were the first people there...we made ourselves at home.

Mr. Wonderful and wine.
Noshing while we waited for everyone to arrive.
Olwen (owner) putting out cutting boards for everyone.

Bring. It. On!

Mr. Wonderful and I were tasked with taking the casings off of the sausage and cutting it up for the paella. Who knew kitchen shears were so handy?!

Who needs a knife?
There was a large mirror over the island we all were working at. Of course I took a photo of us working. Well, we were drinking wine and entertaining the rest of the folks.

Olwen and Lynn Spears (I kid, I told Nancy (lady by Olwen) that I thought she looked like Britney Spears Mom) cutting up some onions and fennel.

Pam101 making a snack. Dude...I was starving!
Mr. Wonderful playing with the camera...and Pam101 needs a manicure badly!
Ok, the kid beside me wants to be a chef when he grows up. Key words, "GROWS UP". As Mr.Wonderful pointed out to me...I am 15 years older than him! 15 years! First time I have ever felt old. But he liked me and Jeff and we all made the paella together. We learned that the kid (Lucian) plays the guitar and the drums to which Mr.Wonderful yells, "we should start a band!" I almost spit out my wine. I think Lucian's mom started worrying about her son hanging out with these two crazy older people.

Cooking the shrimp.
Pam101 and Olwen
A good recipe should have splatter marks!
Mr.Wonderful adding the rice to our paella.

So, this the Paella that Pam101, Mr.Wonderful and Lucian all worked on.  The class was more a "all hands of deck" approach. Someone chopped the red peppers, onions and fennel that all were added to the paella.  We added the rice and then about 6 cups of broth. Threw the lid on and we headed to the table to start eating the salad while the paella cooked.

Wine is good for the soul
Stiring the paella.
Pam101 does not own a cast iron skillet.
We started our meal off with a Spring Salad with Beets, Asparagus and Oranges. It was super good! But then again you all know I love anything with beets!

Our meal: Paella with sausage, chicken and shrimp and rosemary olive flatbread.  Yum!

Pam101's plate
Mr. Wonderful and his meal.
Dessert was vanilla ice cream (with some white chocolate) and some crumbled toffee.
