Twilight fans...Hot or Not Hot?

In case you missed Bill Condon’s Thanksgiving present to Twilight fans on Twitter, behold the first non-paparazzi photo from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1. Condon posted it on the film’s official Twitter page Nov. 25. He’s a classy Oscar winner, so he didn’t go with the accompanying text I would have: SEX! SEX! SEX! But still, more than 64,000 people have viewed the honeymoon shot. (In the book, Edward bites a pillow, or two, instead of Bella’s neck during their first night together, hence the feathers.) I love that this is the first photo he chose to reveal. He’s letting us know we’ll get our romance, and even if we won’t be seeing things that would garner the film an R rating, it’ll still get us excited.

PM Edition of the Hotness

Today's PM Hotness was going to be a space heater. Because many offices are cold and we need to use them...and they keep us hot..but...after seeing this photo of Amish peeps making these heaters...I have to pick "Amish Peeps Making Space/Gas Fireplaces" as today's PM Hotness. Hot! Literally...HOT!

A Little Girl Talk from Pam101

The Halloween Cards that started my rage against the Post Office
One of my fave all time Girl Talk's was about the US Postal system charging me an ABSURD amount of money to mail my Halloween Cards. Well...I am challenging them with my Christmas cards. BRING IT ON US POSTAL SYSTEM! I am single handily trying to keep you in business and all you keep doing is pissing me off.

Where is this coming from? Let me tell you. I just took a few "samples" of my cards down to get weighed to make sure they are in the normal .44 cent range.  Lady looks at me and goes ".64 cents". SHUT YOUR FACE! I ask her why? Get this...because it is thick. How do they tell if it is thick...by trying to slide it through a little slot which is supposed to be someones mail slot. Here is the things USPS only 5% of the people I am mailing has a mail slot...everyone else has MAIL BOXES that can handle an envelope that is 1/4 inch thick.

Why do they want to make me hate them? WHY?!  Pam101 is not backing down...I am mailing my cards the way they are. If a few come back...I will swear as I add more postage and mail them again.  You all are worth it!
My assembly line...

A Thanksgiving with Pam101's family

My sister in law made us one delicious Thanksgiving! Pam101 did nothing but drink wine and break a glass.  (thank you for not yelling at me Sister in Law...unlike Big Brother who did).

Lucy is my one way ticket to heaven...how cute is her "Grace"!!

My sister in law grills our turkey. It was perfection!

Pam101's fave...Brussel Spouts (there is bacon in there...)

Pam101's parents and Baby Will and Lucy.  They are happiest when they are with their Grandbabies.

Baby Will dumped out a box of Chocolate Rice Krispies...Grandma helped him clean them up.

Lucy wanted that Turkey!!!

Homemade stuffing!

My dinner plate. I want to get married just so I can register for china.

Homemade noodles. YES!

All that was left of Pam101's plate...bring on the pumpkin roll!!  I think I look like a pumpkin roll.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

The famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be lit for the first time this holiday season tonight on! NBC starts it off at 8:00pm est.

If you don't want to brave the crowds for the tree lighting ceremony, you can also see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree from 5:30AM to 9:30PM daily from December 1st, 2010 through early January, 2011 (and 24 hours on Christmas Day).

McHottie and I will be staring at the tree this Saturday. It's magic!

Sports...A Dish Best Served HOT!

Note- I didn't love the title Sassy Sports Session...I am LOVING Sports...A Dish Best Served HOT!

Pam101 talks a lot about Sidney Crosby. But let's not forget that there is no I in Team...The Pens are much more than one man. Our first official "Sports...A Dish Best Served Hot" is about another man on skates, Kris Letang. Now, I know most of you don't care about statistics (and I will admit I don't either) but I do know that most of you appreciate an attractive man. So...here you go. Enjoy the hotness.

And if you do actually like hockey then I think you will be impressed by the "stick and puck handling" in the clip below.

Pittsburgh magazine also interview Letang last month...if want to read more about this Canadian make sure to check it out. PS- He likes to shop. Swoon.

Sugar Cookies

Thanks, Alton

Ingredients:

* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1 tablespoon milk
* Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough

Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Place butter and sugar in large bowl of electric stand mixer and beat until light in color. Add egg and milk and beat to combine. Put mixer on low speed, gradually add flour, and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl. Divide the dough in half, wrap in waxed paper, and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Sprinkle surface where you will roll out dough with powdered sugar. Remove 1 wrapped pack of dough from refrigerator at a time, sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar, and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick. Move the dough around and check underneath frequently to make sure it is not sticking. If dough has warmed during rolling, place cold cookie sheet on top for 10 minutes to chill. Cut into desired shape, place at least 1-inch apart on greased baking sheet, parchment, or silicone baking mat, and bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges, rotating cookie sheet halfway through baking time. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes after removal from oven and then move to complete cooling on wire rack. Serve as is or ice as desired. Store in airtight container for up to 1 week.

You are never too old to pretend to be a Princess

While it sold out within hours in London, American women coveting the blue Issa dress Kate Middleton wore to announce her engagement are in luck: Starting immediately, reservations can be placed on the $535 long-sleeved silk-jersey dress on net-a-porter.com, with orders expected to be shipped in January.

Boo's coming to town!

Boo arrives tonight for a few days! Hip Hip HURRAY!!!!!  Don't be jealous....

Sassy Sports Sessions

I saved this photo as "Dork.jpeg".  Like how the price tag is sticking out? Why is Pam101 such a tool?!
So, Spicy101 and I went to a Pens game over Thanksgiving break. Here are some ideas that developed during the time we spent at Consol Energy Center.  Thank you Spice for the ticket or should I say, Thank You Mr.Spice for letting me go with the Mrs's.

1. Spice and I are not brave enough to walk down towards the glass and act like the seats are ours.

2. When an usher asks us "do you two need help" we panic and tell him we will go back to our seats.

3. We steal the promo item (that was for 14 year olds and under) from a group of hockey kids. But they did walk away ...so maybe they wanted us to take them? Check out Spicy's FB Status post thievery: message to all 7yr old boys- please don't forget ur free promo bags after the hockey game because we 'might' just put them in our purses and leave, since they only gave them out to kids in the first place!

4. We buy $7.50 beers and love every sip!

5. Pam101 can make hockey play by play NC-17 rated.  It is easy to do when announcers use terms like "magical hands, strong below the waist, stick handling, etc"

6. Spicy and I decided that we want to add a new feature to the blog.  Tentatively it is called, "Sassy Sports Sessions".  The point of it is a quick sports chat from either Spice or Pam101. Spice will cover the Steelers and Pammy101 is taking the NC-17 Pens.  We figure ladies love sports...so why shouldn't we share our thoughts with you all.

I would love to hear your feedback on this.

And the Oscar host is....

Well actually it is "The Oscar hosts are..."

James Franco and Anne Hathaway will serve as co-hosts for the 83rd annual Academy Awards, producers confirmed Monday.

"James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons – fresh, exciting and multi-talented," Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said Monday.

Thoughts on this?

Happy Thanksgiving from Cheers!

Can you put a candle in the turkey?

Today is Baby Boo's 1st Birthday! Here is wishing the little guy a very Happy Day!!!

I should thank whoever created Blogger....

Thanksgiving. From what I read in A People's History of the Unites States by Howard Zinn, Thanksgiving is really nothing we as Americans should be proud of. We did nothing but horrible things to the Native Americans who were living super peaceful lives. But...putting that aside...and listening to Hallmark (because I always care enough to send the very best)...I will just go with what I grew up with. It is a day to be thankful and eats lots and lots of turkey. I thought on this very special day I should share with you some of the things I am thankful for. Please enjoy.

1. Cheeseburgers. I love them so very much.
2. Sense of Humor. I use mine everyday.
3. Lucy and Will. Here is hoping the always think I am the coolest person on the planet.
4. Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother. The two best comedies on TV.
5. Gigantic purses and sunglasses.
6. For having Health Insurance. Wait, better yet...for having a JOB that gives me health insurance.
7. The World Wide Web...that allows me to blog my randomness to you all.
8. For the friendships that I have had for 20 plus years.
9. Holy SHIT...I am getting old. So, I am thankful for waking up everyday.
10. Everyday I appreciate the people in my life. So, for that I am extremely Thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Eeeeeek!!!!!! Please don't let me lose my Winter Classic Ticket!!!

A Message from Pam101

I will be heading home to Wind Ridge, PA tomorrow at 6:00am. The land of coal mines, windy back roads, where trucker hats are still popular and country music is the only station that comes in clearly.  I love home.

I will post randomly but for the most part I am on Thanksgiving Break.  Here is wishing you all a very Thankful Thanksgiving!

PM Edition of the Hotness

Today's PM Hotness was selected by a great Political blogger, The Pajama Pundit.  If you aren't a fan of his...you will be.
Anyway, today's PM Hotness is: Turducken! Pam101 has never had it but how can it be bad? Turkey, Duck and Chicken all rolled in one? Heaven!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

A turducken is a dish consisting of a de-boned chicken stuffed into a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed into a de-boned turkey.

Two of my fave things...

Spicy101 just sent me a pic I wanted to share. Not sure how she is incorporating this into her Thanksgiving feast?  It contains two of my fave things...
1. Beer
2. Ranch

I would make the worst drug dealer

I didn't die! But I was a panicky mess when I got there! All nervous he was going to rip me off. I asked like 1 million questions. He was like "shut the hell up and stop sweating...the ticket is real".  In the end...I have my ticket.  I am BEYOND EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO GO!

I am thankful this Thanksgiving for my Winter Classic ticket and to the kid who's buddy got better seats so he sold his old ticket to me. Thanks, kid.

Spicy101 is hosting Thanksgiving

The house that Spice built is hosting her family for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner.  She is already hard at work in her kitchen and she wanted to share two photos with you Pam101 fans.

Her yams! Yams are prepped and ready for some baking...

Tom the Turkey is brining away...That is one big bird.

PM Edition of the Hotness

I think this is pretty cool. Give today's PM Hotness to the the person on your list that is always going somewhere. You can buy it at Uncommon Goods.

You know you need a Pittsburgh t-shirt!

I was just reading one of my fave blogs, That's Church, and I had share with you something I love. How great are these Pittsburgh t-shirts?! Check out lots of great T's at Believe Merch. They are fab! And the best part? They are 20% off on Black Friday!

Obsessions come and go....

Spicy101 sent me a pic of our tickets for Friday's Game! Swoon!
When I get an obsession...it hits me hard. It is consuming and sucks up my life. Currently, it is the Pittsburgh Penguins. Now, I won't go on and on about it. I mean...you already know.  But for a girl who didn't have any hockey tickets a few days ago I suddenly have 3 tickets to some seriously MAJOR games!  And get this...I am even going to a game by myself...I have NEVER done that.  You know this obsession is serious when I go to games solo.

Spicy101 got tickets to Friday's Pens game and asked me to go with her (giggle/blush/awesome).  Let's hope this time my text gets on the jumbotron!

OMG...this text is HILARIOUS!

It's worth the click...

Moose in his Holiday outfit
Pam101 fans...you need to check out McHottie's blog.  Not only does she mention yours truly she has some funny pics of Moose (the coolest dog ever) up.  It's worth the click!

If you never hear from me again.....

Big News People:

I am meeting some dude from a Craigslist ad to pick up a ticket to this year's Winter Classic. So, if I go missing and you never hear from me again...please send this to the cops. I will meeting stranger at Tivoli cafe at the Rosslyn Metro at 5:45pm. I am wearing black jeans, black turtleneck, gray blazer and black boots.  I lied about my weight on my drivers license so tell them not to put that on my Missing Person poster.

Also, please let Sidney Crosby know that I bought his jersey so if I do go missing maybe he could sign it to auction off to help my parents pay for the search party? Just a thought.

A Little Girl Talk from Pam101

Once a Pittsburgh girl...Always a Pittsburgh Girl!

I have been single a very very long time. In fact...it is true that I haven't been on a date in ten years. Does this make me sad? Egh, not really, yes, maybe...I don't know. Sure, I would like to hold some one's hand, etc but honestly I don't even notice it anymore. I really do love my life. It suits me perfectly. Some people can't be alone. I can. I have been thinking a lot about being single lately. (blame the 8 hour round trips in my car). And the thing is...I have extremely high expectations of what it is that I am looking for in a man/lover/partner/baby's daddy. People ask "what are you looking for?" ... my response "Christoper Reeve in the original Superman". See...HIGH EXPECTATIONS!

But I can also blame my high expectations on my friends. They all have married outstanding men. Men that treat ladies they way they deserve to be treated. Sure, they have their flaws...we all do. But for the most part each one of my girlfriends married a man that is fantastic. And the longer I am single, the more I observe these fantastic men it is only making it harder and harder for me to settle on anything but the best. Because honestly that is what I (we) all deserve.

Larry is an outstanding hubby and dad. And on top of loving Dana...he loves me too.
But not in a creepy Big Love kind of way :)

I have only met Mr.Spice a handful of times but each time seals the deal that he is a great hubby. He loves Mrs. Spice and he loves her friends too. Total Winner!
PS- how smokin hot is Spicy101?!

Mary and Jorge were my first DC friends to get married. I love these two.
They recently had twins and now there is even more of them to love!

Shaun is another reason I have very high expectations of what it is that I am looking for in a man. He looks at Haley and you know that he would do anything for her. And he loves me too!
I also want to add that I think Haley was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen!

Ryan and Christine were the first college friends to get married. And I tried to find a photo from their wedding...but they got married before I had a digital camera :) Now, that is saying something!

Not meant for 30 year old Auntie's....

Pam101's friend from college makes these fantastic hair bows! Her business, Rockstar Ribbon's,  is booming right now. So, naturally I asked her to make me some for Lucy for Christmas.  She brought them to Dana's surprise party. And of course...I end up wearing all four of them.
I am such a classy lady.  This photo will make Lucy proud.
PS- I got a Penguin bow for Lucy...I might have to keep it.
