1 (15-ounce) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil, plus 4 tablespoons
1/4 cup (loosely packed) fresh Italian parsley leaves
Freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the beans, garlic, lemon juice, 1/3 cup olive oil, and parsley in the work bowl of a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is coarsely chopped. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Transfer the bean puree to a small bowl.
Cut each pita in half and then into 8 wedges. Arrange the pita wedges on a large baking sheet. Pour the remaining oil over the pitas. Toss and spread out the wedges evenly. Sprinkle with the oregano, salt, and pepper. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until toasted and golden in color.
Serve the pita toasts warm or at room temperature alongside the bean puree.

Friends...my car is old. She is 10 years old and I love her. But she is falling apart. As soon as I got home on Christmas Eve her car lights went out...again. So now Cougie (the original Puma) is back at the mechanic trying to get fixed. What do I do if they can't fix her?! Mom is more than happy for me to stay longer...but I want to be home for NYE with my friends. Everyone say a little prayer that Cougie pulls through and her lights work again!

Pam 101's Mom was so excited for her to open up this present. So, I joked and said "Why, do you want me to open this? Is Robert Pattinson in there?" Pam101's Mom said, "who" and then when I told her who he was AKA Edward Cullen she was like.... Oh!
So, yes Pam101 fans Pam101's mom bought her almost 30 year old daughter an Edward Cullen Barbie Doll. And he even sparkles a little. This hands down is our AM Hotness!
LADY Gaga looks to be the big winner on New Year's Eve. The "Poker Face" singer's performance at the Fontainebleau in Miami to ring in 2010 is the hottest ticket in the country based on sales through Web site NewYearsEve.com.
Gaga, who's said to be getting about $300,000 for the show, has already sold north of $1 million in tickets on the site. Andrew Fox, the site's founder, tells us there are only a few $25,000 tables left and some general admission seats at $425. "I'm in awe of the fact that Lady Gaga will make the Fontainebleau the hottest ticket in America on New Year's Eve," he said.

Christmas changes as you get older. I have been up since 7:30am and have not opened one gift yet. I am sitting here starting at the tree, all the pretty presents...waiting on Big Brother to get here with the wee ones. Sigh. If I was ten years old this wouldn't be happening.
PS- I got Lucy a guitar. Someday, I will be her agent.
Pam101 is wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! I am sitting in snow covered southwestern PA, coffee in hand, tree lit and have Christmas Vacation in the background. Today is all about family for me. Hugs, Laughter and for one day being completely content. Oh' and I might stay in my Christmas flannel PJ's all day. So our AM Hotness is...Just Enjoying Your Day!

Here we go...we are heading for home. We have made it all the way to Christmas Eve. And I am totally stumped on what our last Countdown should be. I am thinking about what I want most this holiday season. Sure, I want alot of "items" rings, necklaces, mortgage to be paid, Edward Cullen cut out, etc etc. But what I want most of all is...a big hug from my niece! I want a hug where for one moment the world is completely perfect. Where I am the best person in the world. And in 5 hours after I drive through 4 states and 1 district I will get one those perfect moments! Our countdown item for Christmas Eve is...Hugs! Make sure you give and get many!
After months of blown deadlines and political near-death experiences, a sweeping health care reform bill that would expand coverage to 31 million currently uninsured Americans cleared the Senate early Thursday morning on a 60-39 party-line vote, putting President Barack Obama within reach of a domestic policy achievement that has eluded Democrats for decades.
Today is Christmas Eve and I am doing what many will be doing today. I am driving home. I know this four hour drive like the back of my hand. Sure, it is boring but the end results are worth it. Our AM Hotness on Christmas Eve is...Making your way home for Christmas. Because there is no place like home for the holidays.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

For some reason this popped into Pam101's brain today. "Why aren't train case's popular anymore?" I mean they are functional, trendy and chic. I guess I wish there was an easier way to carry them when you traveled and they don't hold that much. Maybe I will take one the next time I fly?
Coco Chanel invented a fashion vocabulary — camellias, the black dress, the double-C logo, the elongated octagon shape of the Chanel No. 5 perfume stopper — and she surrounded herself with these inspirations in her posh Paris apartment.
Located at 31 Rue Cambon, the apartment sits atop the Chanel boutique and couture salon, where models showed collections to prospective buyers. Today, the apartment is used for press interviews and fashion shoots — and, of course, for haute couture clients, says Odile Babin, a Chanel archivist.
"In this apartment, you can understand the universe of Mademoiselle Chanel," says Babin — who is wearing a terrific little black, red and white plaid jacket (Chanel, of course).
To enter Chanel's universe, you climb a curved staircase, up steps carpeted in beige, with white trim. When new collections were presented, Chanel watched them being modeled from these stairs. During the show, she would sit perched on the fifth step down from her apartment, in front of a wall of mirrors. Looking down, she could see the models and the audience reaction to the clothes — without anyone seeing her.

BOSTON — Teresa Heinz says she is being treated for breast cancer discovered through mammography and argues that younger women should continue undergoing the tests despite a federal panel's recent recommendation to reduce their frequency.
The 71-year-old wife of the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry, of Massachusetts, told The Associated Press that the cost of mammography is far lower than the physical and personal tolls women ages 40 to 60 face if their cancer goes undetected early and they later have to be treated with aggressive chemotherapy.
NPR had a piece on this morning all about Larry Stewart. Larry was a Secret Santa who gave over one million dollars.
For nearly 30 years, Kansas City businessman Larry Stewart spent the holiday handing out crisp $100 bills to people in need. Stewart gave away more than $1 million dollars anonymously as "Secret Santa." Before he died in 2006, he revealed his identity and asked his friends to carry on the tradition

The holiday shipping rush is expected to peak for UPS today, when the world's largest shipping carrier projects it will deliver about 22 million small packages. For the entire holiday season, UPS plans to deliver roughly 400 million packages worldwide, up slightly from the 2008 holiday season.
There is no syrupy Christmas music blaring inside the massive UPS Worldport hub in Louisville, Ky., only the roar of conveyor belts. Still, workers say they get caught up in the holiday spirit.
“You're making millions of people's Christmases come true,” said Matthew Deeds, a supervisor.
Co-worker John Pidwell added, “We're basically playing Santa Claus.”
Our PM Hotness is...Texting Santa!
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Santa Clause has become tech savvy. This year the North Pole's most recognized resident is accepting Christmas wish lists by text message.
Santa's text message service is only available for AT&T cell phone customers. AT&T users text "SANTA" to 1224 and receive a message back from Santa Claus. Customers can respond by sending their wish list – all at no charge.
Pam101 Note: Desk buddy texted Santa and is still waiting to hear back. Come on Santa!
Amy Winehouse could be facing another police investigation for assault.
The British singer allegedly attacked a theater staffer at a holiday pantomime show in Buckinghamshire, England, on Saturday night, according to a report in the Sun newspaper.
The British newspaper says Winehouse, 26, became boisterous and shouted obscenities at the cast of a production of Cinderella, which included Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke.
Staff tried to usher her into a private box, but the singer allegedly kicked and punched front-of-house manager Richard Pound before being dragged out by her own security staff.
The call went out on a Web site and over Twitter, and hundreds of 20- and 30-somethings, tired of being cooped up, gathered at 14th and U streets NW on Saturday for a little restless indulgence.
People squealed as they hurled balls of snow across the largely deserted road. Then, a snowball or two slammed into a Hummer. The driver, a plainclothes detective whom D.C. police refused to identify, got out, drew his gun and exchanged angry words with revelers, according to video footage and witnesses.
Police said initially that the detective had not flashed his weapon. On Sunday, the officer was placed on desk duty after Twitter, blogs and YouTube appeared to show otherwise.
