I'm thinking there will be a wedding...

From Page Six:
THOSE rumors of an imminent Chelsea Clinton wedding have picked up steam. A Post reporter yesterday spotted preparations in full gear for a very large gathering on Chappaquiddick island. A big stage was being built and a large tent, capable of seating hundreds, was going up near the property's breathtaking water view. Martha's Vineyard has been abuzz all summer with speculation about Chelsea's supposed nuptials with her investment-banker boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky. But so far, there have been nothing but denials from the Clinton camp, and talk that President Obama was going to attend seems to have no foundation, as he returns to work today. Still, rumors persist that Chelsea's daddy, Bill Clinton, has rented property on the island.

Jason Mraz Makes Chart History With 71-Week Run

Thank you Julia Child and Ariel

The stunning Ariel’s party wouldn’t have been the success it was if Julia Child hadn’t written her boeuf bourguignon recipe. It was easy to make (just a handful of steps) and the final result was worth every pot and pan I had to wash! It was delicious! Julia suggested serving it with boiled potatoes…While Julia didn’t say to cover them in butter…I did and tossed in some parsley.

The evening had everything you need for a successful party. Great people, Champagne and Wine, Delicious food...the only not so hot part was knowing that in a week Ariel will be headed back to Chicago. Maybe I’ll throw her a party there!?

So, thank you Julia Child! Thank you for guiding me through the steps to make a delicious meal for a great friend. And Thank You, Ariel for being a great friend, a savvy journalist and a top notch fashionista!

Putting pulp into cream.

Heavy cream, bean and pulp.

Getting the yolks.
Today is the Stunning Ariel's farewell dinner party. It is Julia Child inspired. The first thing I conquered was the creme brulee's. Here are a few of the snaps of the steps.
Take the main ingredients: 1 qt Heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 vanilla bean.
Scrape bean and remove the pulp out of the bean...place quart of cream and and bean pulp and the bean into a saucepan. Bring to boil...let sit for 15 min while you work on the egg yolk mixture. Take 6 yolks mix them with 1/2 cup sugar. Take the hot cream mixture and temper it into the eggs. Once all of the mixture has been combined...pour into ramekins and place baking dish. Pour hot water around ramekins...making a water bath. Place in 325 degree oven. Bake for 40-45 min, they will be wobbly. Take out of baking dish and place in fridge.
30 minutes prior to service pour sugar on each one and then torch it! The burning of the sugar creates a delicious crunchy layer. Delicious!

Michael Jackson's Death Ruled a Homicide

The Los Angeles County coroner announced on Friday that Michael Jackson's death has been ruled a homicide.

According to the coroner's report, the singer suffered from "acute propofol intoxication." Other drugs detected in his system included midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine.

The homicide finding – meaning death at the hands of another – is only one of five rulings a coroner can make in a death investigation. Among the others: natural, suicide, accident, and "could not be determined."

Jackson, who was 50, died June 25

WEST VIEW, Pa. — Only minutes after Prohibition died in 1933, Angelo Cammarata, 19, served a 10-cent bottle of Fort Pitt beer to a customer in his father's neighborhood grocery.

Ever since, except for a 30-month hitch during World War II, the son of Italian immigrants has been tending bar and serving drinks. Guinness World Records dubbed him the longest-serving bartender a decade ago, and he's earned induction into Jim Beam's Bartender Hall of Fame and numerous other honors.

Now 95, he's calling it quits.

Take that skinny models!

NEW YORK — Crystal Renn was miserable as a super-thin model who had heart palpitations when she'd worry that there might be calories in Diet Coke.

Her moment of epiphany came when "I couldn't walk another step without being exhausted, or having hair clumps falling out." She knew she needed to live in the body she was supposed to have – specifically a curvy size 12.

In a new memoir "Hungry," Renn, now a plus-size model, exposes her struggles with weight, health and self-esteem, fueled by the industry she says she still loves.

That is, she loves it now that she has been accepted – even embraced – by the fashion world.
