Good news for Amy Poehler fans: the funny lady will to return to her old stomping grounds over at Saturday Night Live for Weekend Update on Sept. 17 and 24, for Thursday and Saturday editions of the segment.
The Thursday show will lead in to the sophomore season premiere of her NBC comedy Parks and Recreation.
Just got this email from oh let's call her "LaBomb".
LaBomb says: "Um..I have a question. My friend is getting married in August and for dessert is have rugelach. She is looking for a creative way to present them. She is having an outdoor wedding in Connecticut with a blue grass band and organic local food. I figured you're very creative and could be helpful. I'm fresh out of creativity this morning."
Use creative packaging for individual deserts. Check out this example.
McHottie and I just caught Channing Tatum on the Today Show. Needless to say...we didn't speak when they showed the GQ photo shoot.
But then McHotties goes...I want to start a Dance Crew. I am like "Say What"...she goes "you obviously have never seen Step Up 2".
Nothing like a casual brewski between friends—or a highly orchestrated "beer summit" in the White House Rose Garden between the president, a scholar and the cop who arrested him. Yes, the presidential happy hour finally happened. Two weeks after noted black scholar Henry Louis "Skip" Gates accused Cambridge (Mass.) Police Sgt. James Crowley of racial profiling for arresting him at his home near Harvard University, the men clinked mugs of beer Thursday evening with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. Obama's beer of choice? Bud Light. Crowley, meanwhile, chose Blue Moon. Sitting at a round table, the men also munched peanuts and pretzels out of silver bowls—as TV cameramen and reporters were kept 50 feet away, after being allowed to view the meeting for less than a minute. The president's aides hoped the "summit" would convey a hopeful message about race relations in this country, and turn down the temperature on an incident that has become "so hyped and so symbolic." At a press conference following the meeting, Sgt. Crowley called it "cordial and productive" and said that he and Gates would meet again.
As mentioned today we start the AM edition of the Hotness. Today's hotness comes to us via Pam101 Fan #25! The first AM hotness is...Kombucha! Here is what #25 says about Kombucha "it is a fermented chilled tea..It is fizzy and delicious... A perfect summer thirst quencher".
So there you go! On these dog days of summer go get yourself a cold Kombucha!

From Marc Malkin with E!:
Rachelle Lefevre and Summit Entertainment's fangs are retracting a little bit today—at least in public, that is.
I'm told the actress formerly known as Twilight's Victoria isn't planning on releasing any more statements like the one she sent me yesterday. Same for Summit—the corporate lips are sealed.
Why? Because now the bloody mess is apparently being hashed out by lawyers.
What's on the table? Read on to find out…
In short, Lefevre wants her money. Summit is arguing she's due nothing because the studio insists she's in breach of contract for signing on for the indie flick Barney's Version.
"Rachelle's contract says she's allowed to do smaller projects like Barney's Version," one source said.
Meanwhile, her Twilight and New Moon costars are "devastated," said another source. "As nice and lovely as Bryce [Dallas Howard] is, they feel like a family member has been taken from them."
But don't expect them to go public with too much anti-Summit talk. As my gossiping cohorts over at The Awful Truth point out, Lefevre's dismissal sends a very strong message—or warning—not to mess with the studio.
Sources also tell me that shortly after Summit announced Lefevre's dismissal, the rest of the cast was told not to elaborate on the circumstances to the media, beyond repeating that it was due to a scheduling conflict.
"But that was before the Rachelle and Summit statements yesterday," a Twilight insider said. "Who knows what they'll ask them to say now."
A recent Pam101 fan (number 25!) came up with a brilliant idea and when Pam101 fans speak…I listen. Starting tomorrow the team here at Pam101 World HQ’s is going to be having an AM and PM dose of the hotness. Please send me your ideas and photos of anything that you think is hotness worthy. I’ll thank you all when I win a Webby.
It is no secret that I am big foodie! I love all the details that are involved in making a great meal. I love it even more if I am cooking for friends and family (you all can hire me for your next event, I do have my own little business…holla). Being that I am a lover of all things related to food, I am very excited about the upcoming release of Julie and Julia. The NY Times had a great piece and slideshow in yesterday’s paper (sorry for the delay in my post). Click HERE for the interactive slideshow. It is worth it! Bon Appétit!
I can't believe I am putting this up. Even worse you all will die when you click the link right HERE (well not die, but be embarrassed that you are actually on the site).
I have a dear friend, let's call her SpicyCurry. Well SpicyCurry has been married for over a year and I so wish I would have thrown her a Bachelorette party like this! SpicyCurry loves her some Edward Cullen.

Summit's full statement:
We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre's recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.
- Ms. Lefevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.
- If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes "passionate," about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
- It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre's commitment to BARNEY'S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.
- Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE's principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.
- Contrary to Ms. Lefevre's statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story. The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre's commitment to the other project – which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment – makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE
As Twilight aficionados already know, Summit Entertainment announced last night that fellow ginger gal Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Lefevre as Victoria in the just-about-to-start-shooting Eclipse.
Official reason is scheduling conflicts, but money may be a part of the problem, too...
First up, Lefevre got a hefty pay increase for the vampire franchise's third installment, according to sources.
Then she snagged a role in Barney's Version, an indie flick costarring Paul Giamatti, which she planned to film between the New Moon and upcoming Eclipse shoots.
But then, I'm told, Lefevre's Eclipse schedule with director David Slade was tweaked and overlapped with Barney's Version.
"Summit could have made it work," one source says. "But they saw that they could save a lot of money by recasting her. This could get really messy."

Beloved Italian cooking teacher, Marcella Hazan, is this week’s Hungry Beast “Fresh Pick” blogger. Check out the recipe she recommends! Looks delicious!
Every bite of Edna Lewis’s recipe for braised beef short ribs with tomatoes, garlic, and onions is a bite of happiness. These long-cooked short ribs, so easy to make, so succulent that you want to swoon with pleasure, reveal how closely the principles and methods of good cooking from America’s South resemble the simple hearty cooking of an Italian country kitchen.
On the heels of her estranged husband, Jon, moving into a posh Manhattan apartment, Kate Gosselin is relocating into her own luxe accommodations.
The "Jon & Kate Plus 8" reality TV star is reportedly buying a condo in Rockville, a wealthy part of Montgomery County in Maryland, RadarOnline.com reported.
Kevin Federline drew stares when he attended a celebrity sporting event Monday, but it wasn't for his golfing skills.
The former dancer stunned onlookers with his massive new size.
According to Usmagazine.com, when an employee at the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Classic saw the large-and-in-charge Federline, he reportedly said, "Man, that's a belly on him! That's K-Fed?!"
On July 14th, Jake Bronstein set the world record for longest whisper chain, successfully passing his message through 59 people at Crash Mansion. What made the feat all the more exciting was the message itself: a wedding proposal to his girlfriend, Kristina Hoge.

“Who's not Team Edward?" she asked MTV News at Comic-Con, where she and her "Ghost Whisperer" co-stars talked about the fifth season of their supernatural CBS series. "There is not a girl in the world who's not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They're aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist."
Unfortunately for Hewitt, she didn't get a chance to meet Robert Pattinson at Comic-Con, but at the same time, she isn't sure she'd have the capabilities to handle an encounter with him in the flesh. "I'd pass out. I can't talk about it, 'cause I'd pass out," she said. "It's because he's Edward. Listen, Edward can fly you through the forest. He's like Aladdin with vampire teeth — there's magic-carpet rides. He can sing. He can watch you sleep. He plays music. He sniffs your neck. I mean, please!"
ROME – Now that's more like it. Michael Phelps bounced back from a stunning loss with something more familiar — another world record Wednesday.
One night after he was soundly beaten by Germany's Paul Biedermann, Phelps set a world record in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 1 minute, 51.51 seconds — more than a half-second ahead of his previous mark, 1:52.03.
Phelps whipped around quickly to see his time and held up his right index finger when the "WR" was posted. And just like Beijing, he has taken down another Mark Spitz's standards, this time with the 34th world record of his career — one more than Spitz had during his brilliant run in the pool.
Apparently, tanning beds are as bad for you as asbestos, arsenic, radium, and cigarettes. The ultraviolet light in the beds causes cancer, according to a new report by the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer. The Los Angeles Times reports that, according to the study, using tanning beds before age 30 increases a person's risk of skin cancer by 75 percent. More importantly, the special committee that conducted the review concluded that all UV radiation induces cancer, not just UV-B rays, as was previously thought, but also the UV-A rays that some tanning salons claim are safer. No one has to commit to a colorless future, though: The American Cancer Society suggests the use of bronzing creams as a safe alternative.
Have you ever meet someone and just knew you would be great friends? Well…my soon-to-be-lawyer friend Soupgirl introduced me to her friend …let’s call her Burger (I gave her this nickname yesterday, because I thought it was better than Vampire. No, she doesn’t have fangs…she is just fair skinned with dark eyes…like a vampire). Anywhoooo, Burger and I went to happy hour last night and had a great conversation on karaoke songs. Please enjoy our email exchange on cheap burgers, McDonalds and Karaoke songs.

LOS ANGELES — Bryce Dallas Howard is sinking her teeth into a role in the "Twilight" series.
Howard has been cast as the vampire Victoria in "Eclipse," the third film in the franchise.
She's taking over for Rachelle Lefevre (la-FAVE), who played the part in the first two movies, the 2008 smash "Twilight" and the upcoming "New Moon." Summit Entertainment says Lefevre isn't returning because of scheduling conflicts.
The 28-year-old Howard is no stranger to blockbusters, having co-starred in "Spider-Man 3" and "Terminator Salvation." She also appeared in "The Village" and "Lady in the Water."
"Eclipse," based on the third book in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" saga, is scheduled to begin shooting in Vancouver in August. Part two, "New Moon," comes out Nov. 20.
26! HOLY CRAP we made it to 26 Pam101 fans! If we ride this wave we might make it to 30 by the end of the week! Our newest member of the Pam101 fan-club comes to us from a small town in Southwestern PA where she is the queen of higher education! She was there when I lost my campaign for Homecoming Queen. While losing the crown hurt...making it to 26 eases the pain.
A former co-worker and I loved this sandwich shop around the corner from where we both worked. And the reason we loved it so much was because the had the best of what today's hotness is. Today's hotness is Ciabatta bread! That dusty dust and perfect bread! It is the reason I will never be carb free!

We all know Mad Men's Jon Hamm is a dreamboat. Tall, Handsome, great smile...but Best Week Ever has the funniest post on him!
Here is a little nugget from the site. Read it then click link at end.
Jon Hamm has a lot to be happy about. The third season of Mad Men is kicking off in a couple of weeks; he was nominated for two Emmy Awards for his work on Mad Men and 30 Rock; and he’s very likely the Second Coming of Christ. So if anyone deserves a vacation, it’s him. And thanks to one of our beloved readers, who clearly stalks the actor in the most well-meaning way possible (Ed. Note: I don’t think I’m talking about myself but who knows…), we’ve been sent these exclusive photos of Jon Hamm trying his best not to be handsome while on vacation.
As improbable as it might sound, this combination is utterly fantastic, both savory and refreshing at the same time. Yield: Serves 8.
• 1 small red onion
• 2–4 limes, depending on juiciness
• 3½ pounds sweet, ripe watermelon
• 9 ounces feta cheese
• bunch fresh flat-leaf parsley
• bunch fresh mint, chopped
• 3–4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
• 4 ounces (½ cup) pitted black olives
• black pepper
Peel and halve the red onion and cut into very fine half-moons and put in a small bowl to steep with the lime juice, to bring out the transparent pinkness in the onions and diminish their rasp. Two limes’ worth should do it, but you can find the fruits disappointingly dried up and barren when you cut them in half, in which case add more.
Remove the rind and seeds from the watermelon, and cut into approximately l 3/4-inch triangular chunks, if that makes sense (math is not my strong point). Cut the feta into similar sized pieces and put them both into a large, wide shallow bowl. Tear off sprigs of parsley so that it is used like a salad leaf, rather than a garnish, and add to the bowl along with the chopped mint.
Tip the now glowingly puce onions, along with their pink juices, over the salad in the bowl, add the oil and olives, then using your hands toss the salad very gently so that the feta and melon don’t lose their shape. Add a good grinding of black pepper and taste to see whether the dressing needs more lime.
Check out how stinkin cute this Birthday party theme is! I can't even imagine my Mom throwing me a party like this. Adorable!
The cast of Grey's Anatomy was back to work on set in LA yesterday. The group was filming a funeral scene for George O'Malley who everyone knows is off the show especially after his dramatic EW cover last week. Fresh off a successful weekend at the box office, Katherine Heigl was back in the thick of playing Izzie Stevens as a cancer survivor. Despite the grueling 17-hour days, Katherine looked happy to be back with all her costars. Ellen Pompeo's baby bump is going to be impossible to ignore when the show is back in the Fall and she looked perfectly cute in her tight black dress as she and Katherine were engrossed in their phones between takes. It wasn't all about the women however — Justin Chambers and Patrick Dempsey also acted in the scenes to pay their respects to George.
The first couple showed a united front, both philosophically and sartorially, at a reception for ambassadors in the Grand Foyer of The White House Monday night.
Mrs. Obama wore a sheath with a white skirt, black bodice, and red ribbon belt. Her hair was worn down and elegantly slicked back.
The president looked perfectly in sync with his wife, wearing a black suit, white shirt, and red tie. If only all matters of diplomacy could be so smooth.
Pam101 note: I straight up took this from HuffingtonPost. I love you HuffPost!
This Thursday President Obama will be hosting Cambridge police sergeant James Crowley and Henry Louis Gates Jr.
The President will be enjoying a Budweiser, while sergeant Crowley will toss back a Blue Moon and rumor is Gates (who I heard doesn’t drink beer) will be enjoying a Red Stripe.
All I want to know is...will Michelle be having a Miller Lite?

How to Refinish a Bathtub.
Many of you Pam101 fans know that I am now a home owner. There are only two rooms I want to work on in my condo; the bathroom and kitchen. Of course it is the two most complicated rooms to fix. I'm not worried...I will DIY it! I am starting on the bathroom. Check out how I will refinish my bathtub!
Orland Bloom will not be reprising his role as Will Turner in the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The actor is apparently abandoning the money-making movie machine to spend more time with his super-sexy lady love, model Miranda Kerr.
I've been trying to find my inspiration for daily hotness as I do every morning on my way to work. I've been looking at everyone trying to see if something catches my eye. Well...as I was blackberrying this AM I spotted the daily hotness. It was on me the whole time. No, its not my great personality or brilliant smile it is... red nail polish. It adds a fun pop of color and it makes using my bb more enjoyable as little blobs of red flicker on the keys.
Happy Monday everyone!

I spent my Friday watching this movie...and it didn't disappoint. As many of you know I always see things as 1/2 full...the eternal optimist. Poppy, played brilliantly by Sally Hawkins, is a 30 year old school teacher who loves her life. No matter what happens she sees the good in everyone. We all should be a little more like Poppy.
I loved 500 Days of Summer. It had all the little nuggets I love in a movie. Happy, Sad, beautiful shots of a city, perfect apartments, a fantastic soundtrack and fantastic fashion.
This is an offbeat romantic comedy about a woman, Summer (Deschanel) who doesn't believe true love exists, and the young man, Tom (Gordon-Levitt) who falls for her.
Costume designer, Hope Hanafin, totally hit a home run. I swear because of this movie I want to wear all vintage and retro. Deschanel, shines in her funky pieces and Gordon-Levitt wears suits better than anyone out there.
The soundtrack for 500 Days is top notch. These songs build bridges between Tom and Summer and they tear them down," director Marc Webb told PLA"Music is the soul of this movie." From Hall & Oates' infectious ditty "You Make My Dreams Come True" to The Smiths "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out," you'll no doubt leave the theater with at least one tune stuck in your head.
It is a summer must see.
If there can be a funny part of church it had to be when Tommy got a text and he was typing back and I wrote him this note (see photo). I wonder if God is included in the friends and family plan?
